Mission

Catholic Life and Mission at St Martin’s

Our mission as part of the Frenchs Forest Catholic Parish is to educate young people in the Catholic faith.

Faith-based learning is woven within our curriculum, with the school motto “Strength and Gentleness” at its core. We are strong in our commitment to what is right or just, and gentle in our relationships. These values are embraced by the students and families in our school community.

We have a close relationship with our parish priests and the Frenchs Forest Parish community. The Parish priests support the Religious Education that our teachers provide in the classroom.

The life of Jesus Christ is our focus, and we support our students to explore and actively live out their faith through:

  • Class prayer and Religious Education
  • Parish, family and term mass
  • Holy Week liturgies
  • Sacramental celebrations
  • Holy Days of Obligation
  • Feast Days
  • Year 6 Graduation Mass
  • Strength and Gentleness Mass prize-giving at the end of each year
  • Monthly Parish Youth Group for senior students

Each year a parish-wide celebration draws together all members of the Parish Community in a special Annual Outdoor Family Mass.

Social justice causes are a major focus of Catholic social teaching at St Martin’s. Together with the parish, our students participate in the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Hamper Drive, Mission Projects and other local initiatives.
