The Creative Arts curriculum incorporates Music, Dance, Drama and Visual Arts.
At St Martin’s, a specialist teacher provides students with opportunities to develop their skills in music, dance and drama. Interested students have the opportunity to join the school choir and to learn a musical instrument. Every student participates in the annual whole school musical performance. Past musicals include: Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat, Kids at Sea, Kidsummer Night’s Dream, The Star, The Gift, Stable Manners and A Midwife’s Crisis.
In Visual Arts, students develop knowledge and understanding, skills, values and attitudes in Making and Appreciating Art, by engaging with the concepts of artists, artworks, the audience and the world. Learning experiences in making and appreciating are integrated in a planned and sequential teaching and learning process.
